Have been tending to sick spouse* all day, plus toddler. Am only posting today because if I don’t the world as we know if will officially turn on its own head, and so I’m really just doing you all a favor. No, really..!
*He has a toothache. A bad one. Dude, does it ever make him cranky or what!?
I’m bleaching my hair, again, right this minute. I was getting fidgety with my hair and I take that as a sign that pink/purple/whatever just didn’t work out, at least that is how I rationalize it, but we’ll see if I’m right. Am still undecided about which color I’ll pick after this as it will likely depend on the outcome of the bleaching. You just never know with my hair.
It’s just in such an awkward stage right now. Not short enough to be cutesy, not long enough to DO anything with it. I know that this is most likely what is making me want to pull, but I’m hoping like hell that the bleach/color thing will distract me long enough to get my hair, well, long again. I had a constant pony tail for 10 years, I was so sick of it and relieved when I shaved it all off, but now I’m starting to miss it. Just a little..

I was supposed to write a review of the perfume Scorpio 2007 from BPAL, but I left the box with all the bottles in the other room, and I cannot go into the other room without possibly waking the baby, and if I went in there to retrieve the box, and the baby woke up I think I’d just about implode on myself. You do not mess with a sleeping baby, I repeat YOU DO NOT MESS WITH A SLEEPING BABY! I’m stating the obvious, of course, but just in case someone out there didn’t know, and happened to surf by and see this - I had to report it. It could save lives.
So, while I’m not saving lives, and not making reviews, I dye my hair. I dye it pretty frequently, actually, in case you hadn’t noticed. Today I added some HOT HOT PINK to my BAD BOY BLUE and got some funky HOT PURPLE BOY, or something.
Why yes, I do use Photoshop a lot - why do you ask? HEH!

Just in case anyone is keeping tabs - my hair is dark blue today. With Manic Panic, a little goes a long way, but I also think it’s staining a hell of a lot more than Renbow. I was sweating blue last night, for crying out loud. Am too fond of my current pillow and blanket bedding to go check whether or not I stained the pillow casing during the night.
Also, mum is leaving today. I love her dearly, but I tend to go kinda crazy at the end of a visit. This time, however, went pretty smoothly. Except for the part where mum bought the Rocky Balboa dvd, fully expecting us to watch it. DUDE! She also bought Black Sheep, which kinda weirded me out because she doesn’t normally watch that kind of movies - and I was right - we had to turn it off 15 minutes into it (and switch to Rocky Balboa *shudder*).
And the cutest thing Carlita did this week has got to be demanding Piglet off a shelve while cruising the store (and I totally blame mum for giving into her, cause I’m the one who has to keep them all at bay here at home), then proceeding to grunt and shove the stuffed animal and the box it was in at me, until I finally removed Piglet from his (err) pen, after which she promtly dropped Piglet in favor of the box. Poor Piglet. He looks so sad already. There better be some Piglet love for him later on, or I’m going to have to put him on suicide watch.
So, now she has yet another stuffed animal that she doesn’t pay attention to. And why would she? She has her own squishy pillow that gives her MILK whenever she wants. Until she is weaned, or until they make stuffed animals that squirt milk I don’t think anything will change in that department. So, yeah.. Weaning is looking better and better these days.

First off, something I’ve wanted to say for a long time but just never got around to; Baby halitosis is TEH CUTE!!!11 Around here everything is a ‘Syndrome’, I believe I might have said this before. As in ‘Baby halitosis syndrome’, or ‘Squealing baby syndrome’, ‘Coughing baby syndrome’, ‘Angry baby syndrome’, ad infinitum. Right now she is showing symptoms of, you guessed it! BABY HALITOSIS SYNDROME.
Ok, so stinky news aside, I’ve ditched Renbow.co.uk for Manic Panic and am looking forward to receive After Midnight Blue, Bad Boy Blue and Fuschia Shock. It was way cheaper with the shipping even though it’s coming from way overseas (although Renbow might actually also come from way overseas - in that case they ought to rethink their shipping as I’m sure the Manic Panic jars are bulkier to ship than the bottles of Renbow). I ended up going more bluish than reddish because of this most recent development (picture below!), but I might have to order more in purplish at some point if blue turns out not to cut it. It’s all so very very exciting. I thought Orange was super on me, but really, honestly, compared to Violette it was utter crap.
If you don’t know what BPAL is, you’re probably better off just ignoring this part.. //
Also, BPAL - one of my favorite topics (squee). I got my Pumpkin Plunder (and A murder of crows is totally worth it, why or why can’t I get more?), All souls and Sugar skull order yesterday. There were too many scents in one go for me to try on that I ended up like a deer in headlights for a couple of hours, trying to decide which to scent to try on first, and at last I broke down and covered my arms in all of them so that I really couldn’t tell what the heck I was sniffing. Today I’m wearing Sugar skull, but I’m planning on trying out at least one Pumpkin later tonight. I’ve got another BPAL order that I’m pretty much expecting today, or tomorrow at the latest, since I got a click and ship for yesterday’s order together with the click and ship for a previous order I made. So, I anticipate more squeeing today. and it seems like I will need it because as of right now we’re experiencing some serious BABY NAP REFUSAL SYNDROME!
