I put one of those thin mattresses that aren’t really mattresses on top of the foamy thing we’ve got going, and wooo, my back is not that bad today! Or maybe it’s because I’ve had a cider and a half because Pooki left me to finish off the mountain of ciders that J bought (moderation moderation moderation). Either way I’m happy!
Music for, well, me!

I had a cup of this really nasty chocolate cappuccino stuff last night, and I just couldn’t drag my ass out of bed this morning. I kept waking up and asking J if the post had been here yet. I’m waiting for a few cds from cdon.com that was ordered two weeks ago soon. It’s annoying because I have about 4 new albums to move to the Zen Touch, but I don’t want to be buggered until I’ve got the last cds - then I would just have to do it again. And it seems like I will have to wait some more.

I spent a big part of yesterday walking around swatting flies. Watching the thunder, listening to the rain, rolling my thumbs and swatting flies. See, the thunder had J running around pulling every plug in the house. I was napping on the couch until a quite impressive clap went off right above us, at which point I woke up to J running around pulling the plugs. We were lucky it happened at day time because we also lost power, and it would have been a couple of looong hours sitting there in the dark. There are a few good things about living in an apartment building - the power almost never goes out. That’s about it.
I loved the thunder and the rain was much needed. The fields were drying up out here and another bad year for the farmers would be devastating (think very very grumpy neighborhood). It’s just that, every time it rains, and especially heavy rain, we have very bad to zero internet connection until things have dried up again somewhat. I get all compulsive like and start pressing refresh every 5 seconds, which tends to drive me crazy fast, so to prevent a complete breakdown I had to do something else. Hence the Swatting Flies part.
Exciting way to spend a Saturday, eh?
