I take the batteries away and replace them with grapes.

She discards the grapes in favor of cat food.

Carlita has been resisting sleep a lot lately. It’s even more difficult for me because I = BOOBS and why sleep when there is easily accessible food around? So a couple of days ago I told Jelly Man to take her to bed, and he actually succeeded (who’da thunk it?), except he doesn’t have my rolling-the-baby-over-and-move-away technique down. After 30 or so minutes of not hearing anything from the bedroom I had to go check on them.

Carlita was draped over his stomach sleeping like the little angel that she is, while Jelly Man was desperately mouthing at me to help him.

My heart skipped a couple of beats.. I love them both so damn much.

Midsummer escapades

The city is about to go into lock-down today because of the midsummer festival (that I’ve never been to in my 5 summers here). I’ve always had a hard time figuring out when they celebrate their midsummer, but I finally looked it up and apparently it’s on the Saturday that falls between 21-26 of June. Lets party!

Carlita is cruising like mad, and bruising accordingly.

Carlita is no longer fall-on-head free - Miss A can stop worrying about getting that dubious honor.

Carlita is also babbling like the mad baby that she is. She is definitely saying Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma with a purpose, mostly while I’m trying to put her down for a nap.

And last, but not least, Carlita is so fucking cute! Pictures will surely follow soon!
