I hate packing, but it’s harsh out there..

I’m slowly getting my shit together, getting ready for my spending extravaganza a lá Scotland, November 2005. I’m highly suspicious of Big ass companies and their “E-tickets” that still requires me to print some pages (as in, ON PAPER - although, I’ll be damned if I want to pay them 100€ just to send me their version of a printed ticket) despite my actual air plane ticket is supposed to live inside my debit-card.

You see, until yesterday I’ve never had a printer.

I know, I know. I can hear you go “What?!” How can someone, like, not have a printer? And for so many years on-line..????* but sad truth was, I didn’t have one, but it’s just one of those things you have to have if you own a computer. I’ve also found that, except for this one “E-ticket” incident, I probably won’t be using the printer much. But it’s good to have none the less! (It’s such a must-have, for the must-have of it)

*And why doesn’t she use a spell-checker?? Well, I just did, so shut up!

So, YAY for printers and going on vacation! Take-off is on the 18th. Just so you know.

Privilege of (now officially very grown-up) birthday #1 - coffee in bed!

I was going to upload and post a link to this mp3, Breakfast in bed by Brainpool, but “the system” (the inner workings of EE) has this and that file size limit on uploads, which I could change if I weren’t a lazy [insert bad word here]. And then I got paranoid - what if my host provider shuts me off for illegally distributing mp3s on my site, and Brainpool finds out and sues me.

It could happen.

Then I realized it wasn’t even an appropriate song anyway (why did I want to post it in the first place? Why??) and decided to just post about what I was going to post about, before regaining sanity (however briefly). Pointless? Yes, but..

It’s my birthday and I can do what I want to!

Daydreaming about.. food!

Oh oh! Even though I hate the fact that I’ll be turning 25 tomorrow, I can’t help looking forward to the benefits of the tragedy. I’ve ordered the complete collection of Buffy on dvd.

I know - who would have thought? I was never really into it until just a few months ago. I can’t explain why this random episode that J and I happened to watch made us both want it. We’ll see if it’s as good as the hype lets on. And all those years where I rolled my eyes at all the Buffy fans crowding the net Hah.

So, even though the day isn’t until tomorrow we’re going to eat at my absolute favorite restaurant today, to avoid “little Saturday”. Right, who am I kidding? Any excuse to go early, there is no denying it. I know exactly what I’m going to order - how fanatic is that? I’m going to have a salmon / shrimp soup for starters, pepper steak with some potato or other as main course and chocolate cake for desert. I’m going to be rolling out of that restaurant, mark my words.

By the way - I’ve got some money stuck in Greenzap. Does anyone know how to get it the hell out of there?

Twilight zone explained

Yes indeed. Apparently, Saturday was some sort of memorial day. I’ll never know why the dead would care about the living going to the store and buying food, you know so they can LIVE, on this day that apparently is for the dead - but I DO know that a lot of living people don’t mind taking a day off work just for the hell of it.

I’ve been on a kinda sorta sugar free diet lately. I’ve also had PMS from hell, even though it’s not that time of the month yet. I didn’t realize the two were connected before J pointed it out to me that I’ve been really hissy lately and he thought it might be because I wasn’t getting sugar. OF COURSE. Duh! It takes so very little for me to get propelled out of whatever state that is normal for me.

Actually, come to think of it, being PMSy is sort’ve my natural state. Evil evil sugar! (How I love thee)

There are 3 days till my 25th birthday. I AM NOT HAPPY! Birthdays quit being fun after turning 21. Seriously. I’ve found greys, people. GREY HAIRS! It should not be allowed, not until I turn 30 - at least! Should I dye it? That sucks too - I can’t really make it look much different. Black with a hint of red, or black with a hint of violet OR black with a hint of blue - wooo! Or I could bleach it so it’ll turn orange! I just love my options NOT.

9 days after my birthday I’m going to Scotland. THAT makes G a happy girl. I was thinking of a few things to bring to my hostess, like “look at what Funland has to offer”, but I can’t come up with one single thing that we can buy here that cannot be bought in UK. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING, those bastards! Im so envious. So, I’m going to have to think a little harder on this.

What would YOU want from Funland? And don’t say elk poop made into earrings (cause that could totally be arranged, and I’d hate myself for it!)
