The dark side of X-mas

I’ve bought one single gift this year. It’s for my “bonus sister” (as they so lovingly call it in Denmark) - shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste in Moomin fashion. My “bonus brother” will be getting hosting - so no need to buy that (woohoo, self-sufficiency!).

Other than that, christmas, in it’s traditional form, is not on my agenda. If I could have it my way we’d probably spend the next three weeks out of our minds. I’ve never done cocaine, but somehow it feels like now would be a good time to try.

Also, my dearly belated PERIOD could bloody well show up soon. Bloody well I say.

BLARGH!

// EDITED //
This is the first post that mentions my late period. Woo!

Oh yum!

Oh, there are new icon sets at iconbuffet.com - sign up, send me yours, and I’ll send you mine.

Pretty please?

(I have Oslo Finance, Taipei Night Market, Shanghai Tech Vector & Oslo Atmosphere! Thanks again Kelly. Oh, I also have Taipei Buddies 2 now!)

Point

A manual please.

I’m embracing my new (non) haircut completely. Taking it to the limit, stretching the limit, snapping it like an old and dry rubber-band. I dyed my bangs purple. I dug through some of my Scotland loot and found the violet perfume tester and couldn’t resist. It’s violet all around here. That is, until I can afford another super duper bleacher and get the last pigments that seem to be holding on for dear life.

But honestly, the shaving part I could do without. And it seems like I will have to shave daily for it not to look rubbish - plus I like the feeling of J’s touch on my naked skin, sans stubble. And the stubble itches.

And DAMN. IT. HURTS.

I’m going to have to Google this and see if there are anyone out there with tips on how to treat one’s newly shaved head.

Point

Once more - with substance

Remember this order I placed with Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs? The one that never arrived? No? Here is a reminder!

It’s sitting somewhere in Finnish customs - damn them (the Finnish customs - not BPAL, heh!! I was fortunate to sniff some of the scents on the order list I had, so I know what they smell like (although I’ll be damned if I remember which ones were which). I REALLY wanted to have at least a few imps from BPAL, and christmas is coming up, so I ordered myself a christmas gift.

This time it was only 6 imps - better safer than sorrier (don’t blame me! It’s quoted from J and it’s also very stuck in my head), I know that now.

ANUBIS
He Who Counts the Hearts, Jackal Ruler of the Bows, He Who Is In the Place of Embalming. Jackal-headed guardian, protector and psychopomp of Egypt’s dead, he guides souls to the underworld and holds steady the scales upon which the deceased’s heart is weighed against Ma’at’s Feather of Truth. He is the creator and master of funereal rites, He Who Opens the Mouth of the Dead, and is the sentinel that watches over the sanctity of tombs and the virtue and privacy of his charges. His scent is a blend of holy myrrh, storax, balsam, and embalming herbs.

HURRICANE
The Dark Side of Air: a high pitched, tangy, clear scent; light China rain deepened by murky vetivert.

LANGUOR
An opiate torpor, soporific, trancelike, and sublimely languid. A poet’s morphine dream, a listless journey into a gentle dream and the precipice of intoxicated madness. Paperwhite and black narcissus, three lilies, black poppy and tuberose and a hint of hypnotic opium den haze.

LOVIATAR
The Finnish Goddess of Agony, Torment and the joy found in inflicting pain on others. The Mistress of Torture, she has transformed in the modern era into the patron Goddess of Dominatrixes. The slap of slick, hot leather punctuates the warm, sensual embrace of black amber, red musk and dark, lascivious myrrh.

VEIL
A quiet scent, soft, calm and enigmatic. A perfume of mystery, of whispers, and of secrets behind secrets. White sandalwood, lilac, gardenia, violet, orris, lavender and ylang ylang.

ZOMBI
Dried roses, rose leaf, Spanish moss, oakmoss and deep brown earth.
